God Is On Their Side

How the Winchester Cathedrals are in 2nd place in the American League I don't know. Mike did most of the draft, but that is it. Hal did the line ups and I watch the usage so everyone plays a team that is not all burned up, and that is only when I run games. Hell, the computer has Wakefield closing games. Maybe I should turn my team over to Hal.

At Gotham Stadium, the New York fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Ricky
Romero(11-5) finally bested his New York opposite, Philip Humber(4-3), by the
score of 3 to 1.

Winchester scored the winning runs in the top of the 8th inning with 2 runs
using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Dustin Pedroia was the sparkplug
when he drew a walk. Derek Jeter followed and he laced a single. Albert
Pujols then slapped a single. Torii Hunter got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Carlos Santana stepped into the box and
delivered a base-hit. Tim Wakefield was great in relief and recorded his 7th
save.

Humber was given the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3
innings

You gotta love when a guy makes a claim on someone and he has a night like this during that claim. :)

Anchorage will entertain offers for David Ortiz. Something that will help this year would be nice.

2nd Grand Totals

12 shut outs for Seattle in 55 games is pretty dang good. I guess the manager in Towanda doesn't like his bullpen.

Anchorage Deals For A Veteran Bat

Earlier today the Anchorage Icemen traded for veteran infielder Michael Young.

Anchorage will send Denard Span and Shin Soo Choo to Los Angeles in exchange for the disgruntled infielder. Young was unhappy with his lack of playing time and Los Angeles' shabby ballpark conditions.

At the press conference Young had this to say,  "It is nice going to a contender and a ballpark with excellent turf conditions. The superintendent at that field should get a job at Augusta National."

Season Starts

The new season has finally begun. I ran two weeks today and two weeks will be run next week. After that we will run one week at a time. Click on the 2012 stats link on the right to see the current standings.

There is a problem posting on the regular site right now, but we will have that figured out soon.

The player pool here is current except for Winchester's cuts, they should all be retired guys unless Mike feels like cutting some active players.

Player pool is now open. Waiver order is posted.

More Draft Day

Scott's brother is getting married next week end, so that won't work. He suggested Saturday the 7th because there is no little league that week end. I know that will be tough for Travis, how about the rest of you guys?

The current player pool is updated here if you don't have it.

Also, the 2011 season stats are back up here too.

Draft Day

I move that we set the draft for March 25th 1pm west coast time. I will host at my house if anyone is interested in coming out to sunny Palm Springs.

The current player pool is updated on this site. Remember that you can draft from the pool if you want.

Draft will be in serpentine order. Do you want to know the draft order now or on draft day?
