God Is On Their Side

How the Winchester Cathedrals are in 2nd place in the American League I don't know. Mike did most of the draft, but that is it. Hal did the line ups and I watch the usage so everyone plays a team that is not all burned up, and that is only when I run games. Hell, the computer has Wakefield closing games. Maybe I should turn my team over to Hal.

At Gotham Stadium, the New York fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Ricky
Romero(11-5) finally bested his New York opposite, Philip Humber(4-3), by the
score of 3 to 1.

Winchester scored the winning runs in the top of the 8th inning with 2 runs
using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Dustin Pedroia was the sparkplug
when he drew a walk. Derek Jeter followed and he laced a single. Albert
Pujols then slapped a single. Torii Hunter got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Carlos Santana stepped into the box and
delivered a base-hit. Tim Wakefield was great in relief and recorded his 7th
save.

Humber was given the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3
innings
